Delta Gamma Car Wash Fundraiser

The car wash began early Saturday morning, groggy and sleep deprived, but no matter our actives went straight to work. Despite being double booked that day with an improve club from ASU, spirits were high and buckets full with water and soap. Although the beginning was slow we soon reached our stride around midday, it was a beautiful sunny day with cool breezes and partial cloud coverage. With speakers playing our favorite tunes and a steady stream of cars the work was never tiresome but just a good time with brothers making some money. We decided to hold the car wash on a game day, assuming that Tempe would be busy with people gathering their tailgate provisions for the game at their local convenience store. Luckily our assumptions were right on the money and had a great turn out from the community. Every car that pulled was washed in a matter of minutes, a frenzy of hands on sponges and rags attacked and left the car with a spotless shine. Thanks to the hard work of every active who attended we were able to reach 46.7% of our semester fundraising goal in just one event. 7-11 was very accommodating and helpful with making sure our actives stayed hydrated and cool, we will make sure to keep relations and hold many fundraisers with them for years to come. Great job delta gamma chapter, your hard work is greatly appreciated.
